Job Description

The Assistant Audit Analyst is integral to internal audit activities. They aid in planning risk-based audits, execute tasks guided by the Team Leader, and ensure financial statement accuracy. Responsibilities include preparing audit documentation, collaborating with teams for data, participating in meetings, and contributing to internal audit reports. The Analyst supports field audits, investigates issues, and maintains meticulous records. Their role is vital in upholding organizational integrity and adherence to internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

Assist to Audit Team Leader in preparing a risk-based audit planAssist the internal audit tasks under the guidance of Audit Team Leader
Execute the internal audit engagements by obtaining, analyzing, evaluating, and reviewing transactions, documents, and policies and procedures
Assist to Audit Team Leader in ensuring financial statements and bear accountability by checking through documents, the accounting entries, acknowledgements and authorized approval
Assist in preparing the audit working papers and draft finding issue log preparation
Communicate with relevant functional teams to request the data and documentation
Assist to Audit Team Leader in ensuring that significant findings with audit evidence and assist in preparing the internal audit reports and ad-hoc reports
Participate in the audit meetings with relevant functional teams
Assist the field audit by ground visit with the team
Assist to Audit Team Leader in monitoring the implementation of management remediated actions and improvements.
Record and maintain the meeting minutes and audit documentation
Collaborate with team members in performing the assigned audit engagements.
Perform ad hoc duties as requested.
Assist to Audit Team Leader in investigating and searching for fundamental reasons of frauds, irregularities, and errors if needed

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in related field, such as Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Law, or Business.
Relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA Part-3, CPA, pursuing CIA Part-1
Over 4 years of experience in internal audit field
Understand in corporate governance, risk management, applicable laws & regulations
Maintain good communication with internal/ external stakeholders and liaise with sector internal audit, risk and compliance teams.
Good industry knowledge regarding practices, policies, current regulatory regulations, and technology
Possess analytical skills, conceptual skills, applying critical thinking and problem-solving
Ability to work independently, efficiently, and as part of a team
Collaborative team player;
Willing to travel on business trips if necessary
Fluent in English and Myanmar
Microsoft Office Skills (i.e., Advance Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
