Job Description

The Compliance Analyst position entails assisting the department head in establishing a comprehensive compliance framework and preparing annual plans while overseeing business operations to ensure adherence to internal controls and policies. Responsibilities include reviewing company policies, advising on risks, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance standards. The role involves monitoring operational processes, analyzing internal controls, and investigating compliance incidents to prevent recurrence. Additionally, the Analyst will train and support team members, maintain documentation, collaborate on compliance reporting, and assist in fraud investigations as needed, performing ad hoc duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Head of the Department in establishing group compliance setup and preparing the annual compliance plan
Oversee business operations to ensure internal controls and internal compliance such as policies, procedures, etc.
Assist in reviewing the company policies, and advising management on possible risks across the corporate organization
Liaise with internal and external parties, when necessary, collaborate to keep the company's compliance practice up to date, and share information as appropriate as part of the compliance requirements
Monitor all operational processes and procedures to ensure that the corporate functions comply with the company's policies and ethical standards
Review the existing internal control, analyze physical and electronic evidence, conduct the interviews, and monitor with a view to establishing whether the internal and regulatory standards, policies, and regulations are ensured and comply or not
Analyze compliance incidents, figuring out the root cause of incidents and recommending solutions to prevent a recurrence
Train and support team members in conducting related compliance and investigation
Record and maintain the meeting minutes and compliance documentation
Collaborate with team members in monitoring and reporting compliance matters
Assist and report to the Head of the Department to investigate and search for fundamental reasons of fraud, irregularities, and errors if needed
Perform other job (Ad hoc)-related duties as assigned by the Head of the Department from time to time.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Law, Forensic Science or Business Administration.
Relevant professional qualifications in compliance and forensics-related areas.
At least 5 years of working experience as a Compliance officer
Understand corporate governance, risk management, applicable laws & regulations
Maintain good communication with internal/ external stakeholders and liaise with sector internal audit, risk, and compliance teams.
Good industry knowledge regarding practices, policies, current regulatory regulations, and technology
Possess analytical skills, conceptual skills, applying critical thinking and problem-solving
Ability to work independently, efficiently, and as part of a team
Collaborative team player;
Willing to travel on business trips if necessary
Fluent in English and Myanmar (4 skills)
Microsoft Office Skills (i.e., Advance Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Vizio)
