Job Description

Health & Safety Executive is responsible for developing and executing HSE strategies and plans at the group level. Reporting to Group Corporate Affairs Director, this position needs to interact with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Developing Policies & SOPs:

Continuously review, implement and maintain effective HSE policy, procedures and practices to ensure safety and protection of personnel, assets, information and business operational activities.
Providing trainings to the operation staff about personal safety at work

Supporting Businesses:

Provide necessary support and guidance to HSE officers responsible for different site locations.
Prevent and eliminate injury and illness to employees and assist companies to comply with safety laws. Inspect workplaces, and minimize or eliminate hazards from processes, such as incorrect working methods, materials, and potentially toxic chemicals.
Understand the application of the Health, Safety and Environmental at Work, etc. Myanmar OSH Law, 2019, Myanmar Fire Safety Code of Procedures 2020 and other legislation relevant to the large business operation.
Assist the Fire Safety Management Plan and Implementation of HSE Management Framework across the group businesses.
Ensure that all "Assessments" as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records.

Reporting:

Regular update to the group BCP committee on risk assessment and make recommendations on necessary actions to sustain our operation and to protect our people & assets.

Managing stakeholders:

Develop and maintain a relationship with the regulatory bodies.
Provide necessary support to 3rd party auditors.

Key Requirements

Degree in Technology or Engineering (Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical)
Diploma holder in Occupational Health & Safety will be considered as an added advantage.
Minimum 3 years of related experience with FMCG/F & B Sector
Possess knowledge of government and regulations, company and industry guidelines on environmental and safety and ISO 9001 and 45001 / OSHA
Possess knowledge of government and regulations, company and industry guidelines on environmental and safety
Ability to multitask and support various managers with proven business partner engagement skills at all levels and functions.
